Our mandate
One purpose, written into the trust deed
iFunza Foundation exists solely to advance education in Kenya — with priority given to learners in government schools and low-income households. It runs no commercial activity of its own.
Protect the mission
The Foundation contracts the technology it needs from iFunza Technologies Limited at arm's length, on documented cost-recovery terms. Mission decisions sit with the Foundation's own board.
Account for every shilling
Restricted grants are held in dedicated accounts and cost centres, never commingled with commercial operations, and audited each year by an independent firm.

They come from internal pilot measurement, not independent evaluation.
Commissioning an external RCT or quasi-experimental study is the single
largest line in our current funding request — because we would rather be
checked than believed.
